Glamora mentioned at DNA Paris Design Awards 2023
The Memphis Milano Apartment, designed by Gema Gutiérrez, founder of Madrid-based space design studio Puntofilipino, won an Honourable Mention at the DNA PARIS DESIGN AWARDS 2023, thanks to the decoration of Glamora’s Bellagio wallcovering, strongly characterised by the dreamy and bucolic dimension.
Organised by the Farmani Group, a leader in the promotion of photography, design and architecture worldwide since 1985, and the Paris-based collective In Between, the DNA Paris Design Awards recognise the work of international creatives who have distinguished themselves with an innovative project in the fields of Architecture, Interiors, Landscape, Product and Graphics.
The Memphis flat in Milan is composed of spaces, furnishings and objects with a unique and experimental trait, which distances itself from contemporary minimalist aesthetics by offering an experience rich in formal and chromatic suggestions. Solid colours and geometric graphics characterise the walls, metal and plaster frames, carpets and curtains; while the furniture picks up on the primary colours and eclectic materials inspired by the Art Deco and Pop Art movements, revisited by the particular interpretation of the Italian collective founded by Ettore Sottsass. Creating a trait d’union between the different rooms is the landscape skyline of the Bellagio wallcovering applied along the walls of the living area. The material texture and soft tones in different shades of green emphasise the creative dimension of the spaces, characterised by large arches and bright windows, inviting guests to reconnect with nature.
