Green Symbiosis: The Tree House
Green Lodge represents a virtuous oasis of peace where architecture meets nature. Located within the Terme Preistoriche Resort & Spa park in Montegrotto Terme, the project, developed by Studio Apostoli, integrates modern architecture and deep respect for the environment. This dialogue between living spaces and natural surroundings was inspired by the client’s desire to offer state-of-the-art hospitality that defines wellness as a continuum between indoors and outdoors.
The building has been constructed using sustainable techniques and natural materials, including prefabricated structures and finishes in fir and larch wood, chosen for their environmentally friendly qualities and natural appearance that will change over time without treatment. This approach to construction reflects a commitment to a minimal environmental footprint. For the interiors, Glamora’s wallcoverings, realised on GlamTrace in cellulose fibre fleece, were chosen for their soothing colours and patterns that evoke the surrounding nature.
Placed in rooms with privileged views, these themes enrich the environments with a tactile and visual dimension, creating unique atmospheres that invite relaxation and contemplation. Each suite presents a theme related to the surrounding habitat, explored through natural motifs or abstract patterns that reflect the local flora and fauna.
The approach to customising the spaces has avoided clear divisions between rooms, ensuring a fluid experience that extends from the outside in, with careful attention to privacy and visual integration. In conclusion, the Green Lodges are an excellent example of how hospitality can be reconciled with respect for the environment, combining luxury and sustainability in a realisation that celebrates the nature of the Euganean Hills.
