SOLID VISIONS FOR NEW DIRECTIONS

Opinion Ciatti returns to Salone del Mobile presenting new projects by Lapo Ciatti and Raffaella Mangiarotti, concrete solutions for a constantly changing world.

Florence, 1 June 2022 – A compass to indicate the direction, a compass to rely on to trace the route, when the conditions are adverse but above all when the sea is stormy.

Opinion Ciatti attends the long-awaited 60th edition of the Salone del Mobile starting precisely from here, from a very special compass that has been fundamental in these years of strong wind. A compass that speaks of values and experience, of a listening attitude and reflections and that has led to designing a new collection aiming first of all at providing a concrete response to the needs of a world in continuous evolution, made up of infinite possibilities and multiple identities.

A collection that tells of solid visions for new directions with products that are indeed visionary as they interpret new needs and requirements, but also possess the qualities of “Spices and Sauces” to add zest to new settings. Complements and accessories that support the evolution of everyday life, while characterizing the spaces with their discreet, yet pervasive presence.

The Pacifico bookcase, the Koji coffee table and the ILtavolo 2.0 table by Lapo Ciatti, alongside the Berberé dog bed by Raffaella Mangiarotti, have all been conceived with this vision, that of serving people's needs in a rapidly changing world.

Products that are very distinct for inspiration, form, and function, but all developed around three key concepts: nomadism, sustainability, and exploration.

Nomadic, modular, flexible pieces because they are able to adapt to multiple needs and make the use of spaces inside or outside the home more supple.

Sustainable pieces because attention to waste and the preservation of the planet we inhabit is well overdue and can no longer be ignored.

And, last but not least, pieces that explore new materials but also new areas.

The "solid visions" 2022 are the centrepieces of our stand at Rho Fiera, alongside the company's best-sellers and two new metallic finishes - gold and silver - adorning the new ILtavolo 2.0 as well as the chairs of the Mammamia collection designed by Marcello Ziliani.

A stand with a light and airy structure, dominated by the colours of the Tuscan land – the ochre of the sienna and the burnt red of Mount Amiata – and a deliberately essential aesthetic to give the products, the true main interpreters, centre stage.

The Salone del Mobile 2022 is also an opportunity to preview two new episodes of "The shape of values". A LED screen shows the first three episodes of the multimedia project dedicated to Opinion Ciatti’s most intriguing production processes. A journey behind the scenes to experience the magic of the exact moment in which the designs come to life and "values take shape". After "The gold leaf", launched in April and focused on the noblest of finishes, the gold leaf – with the Mammamia chair by Marcello Ziliani serving as an exceptional model – we preview the episodes "A leather story" and " Hand-wrinkling aluminium".  In "A leather story" the absolute protagonist is the leather that covers the Pepe seat by Raffaella Mangiarotti, while in "Hand-wrinklig aluminium" the spotlight is on the extraordinary manual skills necessary to shape the Tab.u stools by Bruno Rainaldi.

<<This is an important return to the Salone del Mobile in its official formula, after a complicated period during which we have all experienced deep feelings of uncertainty and alienation, says Lapo Ciatti, CEO and Art Director of Opinion Ciatti. This opportunity to meet and share our work therefore has a special meaning. With "Solid visions for new directions" we want to emphasize what we have learnt in recent years: the value of being at the service of change by offering solutions in line with the times that are also solid, thanks to our experience and our identity. An approach to work that, for us, has represented, and continues to be, a "compass" to navigate all seas. Only in this way we will stay true to our mission: to always offer products and accessories that put people at the centre, answering their requirements and catering to their needs.>>
