Ingenuity looks towards the future, always with fresh and curious eyes: and there’s certainly no shortage of those at PIANCA as the company moves forward. Dedicated to Leonardo da Vinci, the 58th edition of Milan’s Salone Internazionale del Mobile has added the topic of “ingenuity” to its manifesto, meaning skills, talent being used to support people and creativity in inventing functional solutions to improve people’s well-being: all qualities that PIANCA has been able to boast for generations. Ingenuity is a precious asset that is fundamentally based on know-how, consciously seeking new challenges all the time, without ever resting on your laurels. This constant drive, accompanied by plenty of commitment, once again led PIANCA to achieve interesting results in 2018. The company recently received two prestigious international awards: the CALATEA armchair, designed by Cristina Celestino, got a special mention at the 2019 German Design Awards in the “Excellent Product Design” category, whereas the MAESTRO table, designed by Emilio Nanni, won a place in the 2018 ADI Design Index, giving it the chance to win one of the next Compasso d’Oro awards.
