Bonaldo presents two new desks designed by Architect Mauro Lipparini: Scriba and Gauss, the ideal solutions for a stylish smart working space. Scriba and Gauss are characterized by soft lines that make them suitable both for contemporary home office spaces and for extremely sophisticated ones.
The geometric Gauss desk features a curved, fluid top with no sharp edges, much like the legs, which take on the appearance of metal rings with rounded corners. The distinguishing feature of Gauss is the raised section, which creates a second level for the desk. In addition to the main desk top in wood, Gauss also offers a practical “floating” shelf made from ceramic (optional), which is attached to the main desk via two metal bars. The other unique detail to Gauss is the shape of the legs, which stand in a dynamic, asymmetrical position, creating an irregular structure which lends a youthful, casual quality to the desk. Meanwhile, the veining in the wood of the desk top adds dynamism, increasing the aesthetic impact of Gauss.
Scriba is characterised by rigorous signs that bring to mind the typical desk of bygone times. The extensive use of wood for the base and for the frontal finish of the legs makes it a refined and linear product, suitable for contemporary environments but also ideal for the most sophisticated spaces. A further touch of elegance is given by the detail of the leather shelf (optional), in a meaningful material language that gives a sense of sobriety and exclusivity to the product.
