MCZ Group Spa Has Acquired Sergio Leoni and J.Corradi and Aims at New Acquisitions
A group worth Euro 100 million with 380 employees has been created, and it aims to become the number one group in the European heating sector.
“A 10% rise in annual sales, an acquisitions plan worth Euro 10-12 million in 2012 and a programme of new recruits: these are just the main figures which testify to the group's ongoing development process, and which set MCZ Group Spa apart from the rest in the current market crisis” stated Walter Breda, managing director of the MCZ Group.
Indeed, MCZ Group Spa - a pioneering company that excels in the domestic heating and outdoor cooking sectors - has implemented an intensive m&a plan which already involves the acquisition of two prestigious Made in Italy brands: Leoni “Ceramiche d’arte” srl and J.Corradi srl.
The MCZ Group will end the 2012 financial year with a revenue of Euro 80 million (+10% than the previous year), 70% of which from exports to over 35 different countries across the world, with 300 employees to manufacture 150,000 products, including stoves, closed fireplaces and barbecues. With these two acquisitions, which stand out in the current economic climate, the new group aims for a total consolidated turnover of Euro 100 million in 2013, with a staff of 380 employees.
Giacomo Zanette, Chairman of the MCZ Group, comments on the transactions achieved and reveals insights on the group's industrial development: “Sergio Leoni and J.Corradi are two major brands in their respective segments. Sergio Leoni in particular is an historic brand in the manufacture of ceramic storage stoves, which are top-quality products - entirely handmade - built to stand the test of time, while J.Corradi is a leading brand in the world of wood-burning cookers, which is popular both in Italy and abroad for its high quality products. The acquisition of these two excellent brands makes up part of the completion of the current range offered by the MCZ group. Our group has always stood out for its unwavering commitment to innovation and design, and this strategy will also help us implement the plan to relaunch the companies we have acquired, focusing on Italian craftsmanship teamed with an international industrial vision”.
The completion of the group's strategic plan had in actual fact already begun in 2011: with the creation of the new brand, Red, the company had in fact started its business in the biomass and solar heating systems sector (pellet and wood boilers, solar thermal panels and storage tanks).
It is indeed thanks to this awareness of the sensitive issue of the environment that MCZ increasingly invests in the optimisation of efficiency levels and the reduction of fuel consumption, which leads to lower running costs for the end consumer.
MCZ Group Spa, a leading company in the domestic heating and outdoor cooking sectors, recorded a turnover of Euro 72.5 million in 2011, 70% of which from exports, to over 35 different countries worldwide. Established in 1975, it is a joint-stock company, the share capital of which has been entirely held by the Zanette family since it was established. It is headquartered in Vigonovo di Fontanafredda (PN), with 300 employees engaged in the manufacturing of 150,000 products, including stoves, closed fireplaces and barbecues.
