Villa IE: Trame by Tubes plays an elegant part of this Japanese-inspired project
Villa IE is a private residential project which draws upon the reference models of a trip to the Far East taken by the Architect Duilio Damilano. The villa, built by Damilanostudio Architects in a strategic South-facing position, affords breathtaking views of the Piedmont Alpine region and the underlying plains.
The challenge was to convey the feeling of serenity and peace and quiet uncovered inside Oriental temples and dwellings within a totally contemporary designer home. The villa spans a single storey with rooms revolving around the large living room, which acts as a joining element between the most private part of the home, the bedrooms, and the guest house.
The living room, thanks to the use of huge floor-to-ceiling windows, some fixed and others that slide open, benefits from a constant link between the inside and the outside. These generously-sized glazed surfaces access charming Teak decking, which enjoys the outstanding South-facing exposure and hosts a long flush-edge pool that covers the full length of the house.
All four bathrooms of Villa IE have been fitted with Trame radiators designed by Stefano Giovannoni for Tubes. The choice made by the Damilanostudio Architects practice was prompted not only by the functional and technological qualities of Tubes products but also their impeccable styling. Specifically, the Trame model was selected for its geometry and shape which recall the weft of a fabric, making it simply the perfect and elegant fit for this Japanese-inspired interior design.
Tubes proves once again to be the ideal partner and offers the right solution for a project from afar, where all the elements cohabit harmoniously, blending in with one another: from the finishes to the furniture, and also the radiators which become veritable items of interior décor.
