FAST MILANO, EXHIBITION OF GIACOMO BENEVELLI’S ARTWORKS FOR MILANO MUSEOCITY’S “IN VETRINA” PROJECT

Fast Milano — Via Cesare Battisti 1, Milano: 2nd – 26th March 2025

Fast is pleased to announce its participation in the In Vetrina initiative of the non-profit association Milano MuseoCity. This project transforms the city into a widespread museum, where stores and exhibition spaces of participating brands become true “ephemeral museums,” in which art and design dialogue in a blend of forms, materials and meanings.

For the occasion, the brand’s flagship store, Fast Milano, displays the works of Giacomo Benevelli (Reggio Emilia, 1925 – Pavia, 2011), a master of Milanese abstractionism, whose sculptures stand out for their fluidity and the perfect balance between rationality and creative sensibility. Benevelli’s soft, continuous forms, shaped in aluminium, marble, bronze and terracotta, meet with Fast’s formal research, highlighting the evocative power of matter. Just as the artist shapes materials to give life to essential and dynamic forms, so Fast transforms aluminium, a key element of his collections, into furniture that blends in with the landscape, reflecting movement and the surrounding environment.

Fast’s commitment to culture is renewed, emphasizing how aesthetic research and creativity are central to its philosophy. The company, which specializes in aluminium outdoor furniture, conceives design as a harmonious expression of the meeting of the human hand, nature and the land. Through a constant dialogue among sustainability, technology, craftsmanship and innovation, Fast creates collections that combine aesthetics and functionality while keeping a deep connection with the material and its multiple languages.

Fast not only creates furniture but promotes a vision of outdoor living, how art transcends pure functionality. The installation, in dialogue with Benevelli’s artworks, becomes an expression of a conscious aesthetic capable of interweaving art and nature, enhancing the experience of space. Each element becomes part of a visual and tactile narrative in which form, matter, and light come together in harmonious balance.

“Participation in this project is another opportunity for Fast to celebrate the combination of past and present, craftsmanship and innovation,” explains Marco Levrangi, CEO of Fast. “By attending the Showcase initiative, we would like to give a higher meaning to our showroom, inviting people to look at design under the lens of art and transforming the space into a narrative experience rather than just a purchase.”

At the conclusion of the In Vetrina activation, the works will remain on display at Fast Milano until March 26. The following opening hours are Tuesday through Saturday: 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
