Luce&Light illuminates Milan’s “secret walkway” above the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II
Luce&Light is behind the architectural lighting design for the relaunch of HIGHLINE Milano, contributing to the enhancement of one of the city’s most emblematic locations: the panoramic promenade that leads to the Sala degli Orologi (Clocks Room) in Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II.
The walkway offers an entirely new perspective from which to admire unique views across Milan’s rooftops, from the historic grandeur of the Galleria and the contemporary skyline of Piazza Gae Aulenti, to a privileged outlook over the Duomo.

The lighting designed by Luce&Light accompanies the entire length of HIGHLINE Milano as both a narrative and functional element, encouraging a renewed perception of the spaces and a constant dialogue between history and modernity. The lighting does not simply make the spaces visible – it becomes a tool for cultural development, enhancing the visitor’s experience and reinforcing the site’s identity.

The HIGHLINE project is grounded in the values of new generations, local identity and sustainability – a principle that’s reflected in the lighting choices made. Attention to visual comfort, reduction of environmental impact and respect for the architectural setting have always guided Luce&Light’s philosophy, reinforcing its role as a strategic partner in the revitalisation of one of Milan’s most recognisable landmarks.
