Architectures of Light: Lithos Design’s backlit walls

Among Lithos Design’s most impactful solutions, their marble backlit wall coverings represent a perfect synthesis between design and technology. Their uniqueness lies in the translucent properties of marble, which can turn surfaces into luminous and architecturally expressive elements. Developed based on in-depth lighting studies, the processing technique allows artificial light to pass through the stone, highlighting its natural nuances to enhance any architectural setting.

Divided into two collections – Pietre Luminose and Pietre Chiaroscure – the wall coverings are particularly suited for contract settings. For this reason, we have selected two hotel projects, in which the products integrate themselves perfectly with the desired atmosphere.

Hotel Motel One, Antwerp, Belgium – 2024

In this first project, the interior design team chose to use a range of products to create a contemporary setting with an exclusive character: one of these is the Tweed Smeraldo model from Lithos Design’s Pietre Charioscure collection, which powerfully enhances the bar with a dramatic presence, turning it into a focal point of great visual impact.

Luxury Pool Suite Jagdhof, Röhrnbach, Germany – 2022

Inside the suite of this second project, the Hamal model of the Pietre Luminose collection serves as a dividing backlit wall to separate the night zone from the wellness one. The modules, with a three-dimensional and geometric design, create a refined play of textures.
