NovaBell @ Milan Design Week – Highlights

Shards of Infinity is the installation presented at Fuorisalone 2025 by Danilo Ramazzotti and NovaBell as part of the INTERNI CRE-ACTION project. The installation features three geometric monoliths clad in Canvë, a new ceramic surface that is the result of the collaboration between Ramazzotti’s artisanal tradition and NovaBell’s industrial expertise. This partnership merges craftsmanship and innovation, celebrating the essence of Made in Italy design.

Canvë draws inspiration from the geological and chromatic richness of Monte Rosa, where ancient volcanic activity shaped a landscape of layered clays, stones and mineral sediments. This natural heritage, with its red, green, grey and white soils, becomes the creative matrix for a material that does not simply replicate nature, but interprets and transforms it into expressive and contemporary surfaces.

The installation’s three monoliths – solitary, sculptural presences – emerge from the ground as symbolic fragments, evoking the power of the earth and referencing archetypal forms like basalt columns or prehistoric megaliths. Through Canvë, Ramazzotti and NovaBell offer a new perspective on ceramic surfaces as emotional, tactile and architectural elements.
