Youpi by Bonaldo: the Lightness of Design

Bonaldo presents Youpi through a new photographic perspective: the lounge chair designed by Fabrice Berrux in 2023 is now the focus of a new series of images captured by Sébastien Lovat.

Youpi was born from an intuition that took shape through the collaboration between Berrux and Bonaldo, where every idea emerged from open dialogue and a shared design sensibility.

Youpi is portrayed through a new series of images that capture a real encounter: the one between the designer and his creation. The essential, almost industrial atmosphere becomes the ideal setting to highlight the chair’s expressive strength, simple, slightly ironic, and capable of defining a space.

Its form stems from a play of harmonious proportions: the conical base supports a wide, welcoming seat, while the backrest and armrests open out in continuous, enveloping lines, offering an immediate sense of balance and softness. Fully upholstered in fabric or leather, Youpi combines visual and tactile comfort with a strong sculptural presence. It exemplifies how Bonaldo can transform a creative intuition into an object with a bold, contemporary character, where aesthetics and functionality come together in a natural balance.
