Lithos Design: the stone’s materiality in luxury retail

In the centre of Andorra, the jewellery boutique Pons 1845 designed by Estudio Ripollés interprets contemporary retail through a sophisticated language, in which Lithos Design’s wall covering Barcode Zero defines an elegant and deeply material atmosphere.

Visitors are guided along a flowing path, marked by a series of distinct spaces characterised by textured surfaces and carefully crafted lighting effects. The warmth of dark wood meets the three-dimensional quality of light marble, creating a welcoming and refined atmosphere that strikes a perfect balance between heritage and modernity.

The highlight of the project is Lithos Design’s Barcode Zero wall covering, in Travertino Latino marble, laid horizontally to guide the customer’s gaze and path through the entire boutique. The linear pattern of the surface creates an elegant, measured visual rhythm, whilst the stone’s engravings interact with the light to produce delicate chiaroscuro effects that enhance the depth of the spaces. The three-dimensional texture thus helps to define a sophisticated and serene space, where the material becomes an integral part of the architectural narrative.
