Bonaldo 2026: architecture and balance for the bedroom
In the home envisioned by Bonaldo for 2026, the bedroom is conceived as an integral part of a broader architectural vision. As part of Architecture of Objects, the concept presented at Salone del Mobile.Milano, beds and accessories are designed not as isolated pieces, but as elements that contribute to the identity of the space.
The new proposals offer distinct approaches to the bedroom. While different in expression, they share a careful attention to detail and to the role furniture plays within the home. Beds and bedroom accessories become architectural presences, shaping the atmosphere of the room and defining its character.

Designed by Gabriele and Oscar Buratti, Belloalto brings to the bedroom a formal language defined by generous proportions and tailored detailing. Centred around a high headboard conceived as a wide and comfortable support element, the design combines soft, rounded lines with a substantial bed frame, creating a sense of visual solidity. Material richness and tailoring come together in a design of timeless elegance.
The collection is completed by the Isabey bedside table, designed by Gabriele and Oscar Buratti. Available in one- and two-drawer versions, it combines curved wood surfaces with a carefully calibrated relationship between volumes. In the one-drawer version, the metal base becomes a defining feature, recalling the paired columns of classical architecture, while warm wood finishes contribute to creating an intimate atmosphere within the bedroom.

With Holden, Massimo Castagna introduces a more essential language to the sleeping area. Defined by the meeting of a generously sized headboard and a low, compact bed frame, the design is characterised by a precise balance of volumes. A distinctive oblique cut interrupts the headboard without breaking its continuity, while recessed feet lift the bed from the ground, introducing a sense of lightness. Every detail stems from careful formal research, giving the piece a strong yet understated presence.
