NovaBell at the Milano Design Week 2026

For the second consecutive year, NovaBell took part in the Milano Design Week together with Danilo Ramazzotti and presented Rare Heart, the installation at Palazzo Litta as part of the exhibition route Variations, curated by Mosca Partners for FuoriSalone 2026.

The project unfolds through three experiential dolmens dedicated to the primary elements – air, water and fire – where the primordial and material world engages in a dialogue with the contemporary interpretation of surfaces. The installation features Danilo Ramazzotti’s terracotta creations alongside NovaBell’s porcelain stoneware.

The new Guja porcelain stoneware collection stems from an aesthetic and emotional reinterpretation of the valleys that shape the hillsides of Monte Rosa, where a treasure took form over time: the Guia gold mine, the only Alpine gold mine, active until 1961. With Guja, NovaBell explores in depth the essence of rock embedded in clay, the outcrops of satellite minerals and the marks left by human intervention. The structure, tones and folds of the material, together with the traces carved by mankind in the search for gold, merge into a visionary language. The result is a new architectural material that narrates the encounter and fusion between rock and clay, where the presence of mica, hematite and white copper scattered across the surface creates pure reflections and shimmering effects that shift with the movement of light.

The colours of the collection (Sabbia, Magma, Bruma, Nuvola, Fumo, Neve, Carbone) are the result of a research process inspired by the very heart of the mountain. Starting from the dense and elegant tones of clays, rocks, Candoglia marble and Palissandro stone, NovaBell identified shades that are both deeply rooted in history and expressive of contemporary trends. A solution that does not replicate nature, but rather interprets, blends and conveys the emotions evoked by the material’s suggestions.
